Anne Hathaway Swaps Vegan Diet For High Protein Paleo-Style Plan, Apologizes To PETA

Anne Hathaway admits that she’s embarrassed to confess her recent diet shift. But after picking at plates of garbanzo beans topped with tofu in an attempt to stay true to her vegan diet, Hathaway increasingly felt fatigued while filming Interstellar, she told the Insider. As a result, Anne shifted to a Paleo-style high protein diet and happily gobbled up animal protein ranging from poultry to fish.
Apologizing to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Hathaway revealed what prompted her to end her plant-based plan. It occurred while she was filming a water scene that required high levels of endurance and energy.

"Anne Hathaway" said that “I fell off so hard… So you imagine what that’s like — what it’s like running through water and then you wear a 40-pound suit on top of it, so for me it was intense. I was facing my life, I don’t know how many days in a row of, like, garbanzo beans on a plate.”

To experiment with a change in diet, Anne decided to see if eating animal protein helped. And once she started a Paleo-style low carb diet and fueled her body with non-vegan foods such as fish, Hathaway had no desire to go back, she told Harper’s Bazaar.
Anne made the confession over a plate of eggs and sausage, which she ate with gusto. However, Hathaway emphasized that she stayed on her vegan diet until the Interstellar shoot in Iceland, which required that she wear a 40-pound space suit.
“I just didn’t feel good or healthy, not strong,” she said of her vegan diet days.
After her initial non-vegan meal of fish in a Reykjavík restaurant, Anne said that she felt the difference immediately.

Anne isn’t the only celebrity following a Paleo-style high protein low carb diet. As the Inquisitr revealed, Snooki also has chosen caveman cuisine for her pre-wedding weight loss.
In accordance with Paleo diet guidelines, Snooki avoids bread, pasta, cereal, processed foods, and anything containing sugar. Instead, Nicole focuses on consuming protein, non-starchy vegetables, and some fruit.
“I am eating lots of greens, a lot of grilled chicken, salad and some fruits,” she noted.
But it’s not just diet that Snooki and Anne have in common. Both have received some negative feedback as a result of their outspoken views. And while Snooki has maintained her self-esteem successfully, Hathaway only recently learned to deal more successfully with her haters, she told Ellen DeGeneres. As she notes in the video below, however, it has not been easy.

WWE Wrestler CM Punk Makes Televised Appearance Sunday Night on 'Talking Death'

When CM Punk showed up on Talking Dead late Sunday night it was under his WWE wrestling name. This was quite a change since the last time he used his real name, Phil Brooks, to represent himself when speaking about The Walking Dead. In a related report by The Inquisitr, Colt Cabana says CM Punk is happy based upon a recent interview and it would seem this is true since CM Punk and AJ Lee celebrated their marriage publicly on social media. Meanwhile, Paul Heyman claims CM Punk is still the best in the world when it comes to wrestling and a recently released MMA video featuring Punk seems to prove it.
It’s rumored that The Walking Dead could eventually make Daryl Dixon gay, and it’s said that Norman Reedus is fine with the idea, although he does admit he would want any romance to be fairly awkward. While CM Punk did not comment on that particular rumor, Phil did admit he was surprised that Daryl and Carol did not get together when they slept near each other in episode six. “It is completely ridiculous that they didn’t hook up,” CM Punk insisted. “There was some sexual tension drawn out there. There’s people who want to see him hook up with Beth, but that’s so weird and ridiculous.”
Other Walking Dead fans might agree or disagree with CM Punk on that one depending on which “team” they are part of. Similar to the Twilight series, which had Team Edward and Team Jacob, some fans are rooting for their favorite female characters to eventually hook up with Daryl Dixon. CM Punk also admitted that he hates many character when they first show up. “I have a hard time trusting any new characters on the show,” Punk admitted. The others involved in Talking Dead joked that Punk wasn’t actually in the show, but the wrestler believes his impression of Noah was changed based upon the way he watches The Walking Dead.
“I look at things from that perspective,” Punk responded. “But it’s interesting because if we would have seen him at first when he was stealing the guns, everyone would have hated him.” When it comes to Carol shooting at Noah, CM Punk believes she was actually trying to kill him. “You shoot a person in the legs, I don’t know if he doesn’t die anyway,” CM Punk said.

Jennifer Lawrence certainly a considerate one – or so she thinks. Sure, she ate a sandwich and then didn't brush her teeth before filming a big kiss with costar Liam Hemsworth, but, she said Saturday at a press conference for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, "I gave him fair warning." Not according to her scene partner. As Hemsworth told Jimmy Fallon earlier, "Any time I had to kiss Jennifer was pretty uncomfortable. When you look at it on the outside it looks like a great picture. She's one of my best friends. I love her. But if we had a kissing scene, she would make a point of eating garlic or tuna fish or something that was disgusting."

All kidding aside, the Oscar winner does credit Hemsworth with teaching her to have more of a backbone.

"I am a wimp about standing up for myself," the 24-year-old actress told PEOPLE at the press conference in Manhattan, saying Hemsworth "taught me how to stand up for myself," she said. "I would always be like, 'Please like me! Please like me!' "

"Maybe not with this movie," she joked. "Not since Catching Fire.

"But there were times when I was really bad about that," Lawrence continued. "It's my biggest weakness – with negotiating, or even with people. Liam is always fair, he is always kind, he is always strong. He's teaching me to toughen up a little bit and it's important. I need that."

While filming the Hunger Games movies over the years, she said she grew particularly close to both Josh Hutcherson, 22, and Hemsworth, 24.

"Liam is the most wonderful, lovable, just family-oriented sweet, hilarious [guy]," she said. "I guess the biggest surprise is that I would never expect to ever have a man this good-looking ever be my best friend. I never knew that those things could happen."

When he returned the compliment, saying how "she has never changed" and is "a great actress because she adapts to situations," she laughed and said, "This is the best press conference ever!" In true JLaw fashion, she also joked about taking a selfie in a meadow during shooting "while I was peeing in it." But the conversation turned serious as she explained how surrounding herself "with 'no' people" has kept her grounded amid her international stardom.

"I have an amazing group of friends who are not in the business, who I trust. I have been friends with them for years," she said. "They will tell me, 'Stop doing that' or 'You look terrible.' " When it comes to her fame, she said, "I don't feel any different. But the way people look at you feels alienated and odd. So I surround myself with people who don't fake laugh at my jokes." Costar Natalie Dormer chimed in to compare Lawrence to her fearless character, Katniss Everdeen.

"Katniss doesn't have any ego and neither does Jennifer. The reason why she's so compelling to an audience is because she's true to herself and doesn't suffer the bulls--- or superficial elements," Dormer said. "That's why people look up to her. She's a great role model. So is Katniss."

Orlando Bloom And Miranda Kerr Are Getting Divorced

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are no longer. A rep for Bloom exclusively confirms the breakup. “In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months,” the rep said in a statement. “After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation.” The statement continued, “Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family.” The 36-year-old British actor and the 30-year-old Australian Victoria’s Secret model began dating in 2007. They were married in July 2010 after announcing their engagment just a month beforehand.

"When I saw Orlando on Broadway in Romeo and Juliet, I was blown away," Kerr said in the November issue of Cosmopolitan. "For someone to be able to learn all that and hold the energy to do it every day, six days a week—I have so much respect for him. We don't run lines though. We keep that very separate. That would be like me asking him to teach me how to catwalk."

 Bloom recently put his Hollywood Hills home on the market for $4.5 million. He had been renting it out for $16,500 a month while he and the family were living in NYC.
