Actress and TV host Nikki has talked to
reporters who asked about her reaction to former boyfriend Billy
Crawford’s situation. She says she prefers not to say too much about the issue, as she was not involved in the incident. According to a report from ABS-CBN, Nikki, who was at a Mercedes Benz event Thursday, September 11, said that she prefers not to comment about the issue. “I was asked about it, which I don’t understand because I’m not involved in anyway,” she said. “I wasn’t raised to celebrate the misfortune of others. I guess that’s all I have to say about the issue.”
She also said she would rather not comment on reactions
that Billy was never involved in any controversy when they were
together."I don't want to comment on that. I also want to respect
the people that we are currently... You know, there are other parties
involved din, eh. Respetuhin nalang natin 'yon. (Let’s just respect that.) I really don't want to comment on that.”The former couple, who were together for 5 years, broke up
last year. Nikki is reportedly dating a non-showbiz guy, while Billy is
in a relationship with It’s Showtime co-host Coleen Garcia.
On Sunday, September 7, Billy was arrested at the Taguig police station after he went wild and broke a glass in the area. He later apologized but maintained that he did not harm anyone. Billy has since been charged with malicious mischief and disobedience to a person of authority. On Thursday, ABS-CBN Corporate Communications clarified that Billy was not suspended from his hosting duties on It’s Showtime. “There is no truth to reports that Billy Crawford has been suspended from It's Showtime. Billy is taking a short break from his hosting duty following the incident last weekend."
